Ways to Give

Smart Growth Initiatives

The centerpiece of our SGI Campaign is the redevelopment of our West Bradenton Center. The new multi-purpose building will be structurally hardened and more energy-efficient to better serve the community and our girls. In addition to serving as the campus for Just for Girls Academy, this uniquely designed building will also serve the community during a disaster as an Operations Center for first responders and a shelter for displaced families.

You can name the Leadership and Learning Center!

Millennium Club

Membership in the Manatee County Girls Club, Inc. dba Just for Girls' Millennium Club is a proud way to demonstrate your commitment to helping little girls and young women achieve their dreams. You can be a member of this exclusive club by contributing $2,000.00. With select membership to the Millennium Club, members' names are inscribed on the Millennium Plaque that is displayed on the Just for Girls' Wall of Honor at the corporate office. Members will also be recognized in Just for Girls' publications where appropriate and invited to a special reception held to honer their exceptional dedication to the children in this community who need our help the most.

Legacy Circle

Membership in the Manatee County Girls Club Foundation, Inc. Legacy Circle offers a key way to contribute to the growth of the Foundation and success for Just for Girls'.

A Legacy Circle member contributes to the Foundation through one of the following ways: a direct contribution, estate planning, a bequest in one's will, a gift of life insurance, real estate, personal property, or other options of endowment support. These endowment gifts can often provide a significant savings in income, estate and capital gains taxation while offering the personal satisfaction that local children are being helped from this act of charitable kindness.

In joining this distinguished circle of friends, members receive a special acknowledgement of their membership, information on financial planning, and recognition in
Just for Girls' publications when appropriate. For gifts or bequests above $25,000, special recognition is shown by engraving members' names on individual brass leaves of the Giving Tree that is displayed on the Just for Girls' Wall of Honor at the corporate office. For gifts of at least $10,000, benefactors will be recognized with smaller leaves of the Giving Tree.

Just for Girls Giving Tree

Just for Girls' honors the select members of the Legacy Circle who have been exceptionally generous throughout the years by championing the Manatee County Girls Club Foundation, Inc. Each name has been engraved on a brass leaf of the Just for Girls' Giving Tree, which is proudly displayed on Just for Girls' Wall of Honor at the corporate office. This Giving Tree will be an everlasting tribute to our caring partners, friends and champions.

The Sarah H. Tomberlin Scholarship Society

Through the Manatee County Girls Club Foundation, Inc., a benefactor can also give to The Sarah H. Tomberlin Scholarship Society, a restricted fund set aside to provide net earnings that will underwrite the scholarships needed by impoverished girls to attend Just for Girls'.

Honoring Sarah H. Tomberlin, a founder of the Manatee County Girls Club, Inc., this society was created in 2001 to celebrate her steadfast commitment to child advocacy and role as a distinguished civic leader.

This society will continue her legacy and tireless efforts by providing scholarship assistance so that generations of impoverished girls can access Just for Girls' services and learn the skills to achieve their dreams for years to come.

Memorials / Honorariums

Memorial cards are available at Just for Girls' as a way to honor the special lives and memory of our loved ones. Honorariums can also be made for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, or anniversaries. Both memorials and honorariums can be directed toward either the Manatee County Girls Club Foundation, Inc. to assure future services for the daughters of tomorrow, or to Just for Girls' current operations that will help the daughters of today.

With each special tribute, a loved ones legacy can live on through the shining success of a child.

The Role of the Foundation

The Manatee County Girls Club Foundation, Inc., incorporated on July 7, 1989, was designed to provide a solid foundation to assure that the future programs and services of Just for Girls'continue in perpetuity. A non-profit corporation, the Foundation offers Just for Girls' financial support through a variety of private gifts it receives in forms such as life-income arrangements, wills, trusts, charitable gift annuities, memorials, and other year-end or estate planning arrangements.

The Foundation is dedicated to providing the future young ladies of Manatee County with opportunities to learn skills that will allow them to grow and develop into caring, independent individuals who have a multitude of opportunities in which to lead a fulfilling life.
